The NLJUG Innovation Award is the independent prize for IT makers in the Netherlands and has been awarded annually since 2019. These were the winners in recent years:
2024: Nederlandse Spoorwegen (NS)
The NLJUG Innovation Awards are an initiative of the Dutch Java Usergroup NLJUG. The NLJUG pays tribute to the most innovative IT project built with Java and literally and figuratively offers the makers a stage. Just like the editorial staff of Java Magazine, the professional jury of the NLJUG Innovation Award is also independent. The organization has no influence whatsoever on the final outcome of the competition. You can send questions about the NLJUG Innovation Award to info@nljug.org
The 3 best projects are nominated by a professional jury
The process goes as follows.
As an organization you can nominate your project via this page between May 1 and September 1.
In this phase, several jury members have been appointed for each category, who assess the entries based on a number of criteria.
If a jury member is directly or indirectly involved in one of the submitted projects through an organization, another jury member will be appointed for this project.
After September 1, the jury will meet and 3 nominees will be chosen and shortlisted
On October 2, we will announce a shortlist of 3 nominees for each category on this website. These are the next steps:
The winner will be announced on Thursday, November 7 at the Pathe Theater in Ede
The nominees will receive an invitation to this festive meeting.
